Theodore Magnus was founded on a simple idea: that something as everyday as a doormat can be beautiful, sustainable, and crafted with care. We partner with skilled artisans in Southern India to create doormats that honor traditional craftsmanship while meeting the modern homeowner's desire for design and durability.
From coconut husk to your doorstep.
It begins with the coconut. Husks are hand-harvested, soaked in water to soften the fibers, then separated, cleaned, and spun into strong, durable coir yarn using traditional hand-spinning methods.
The yarn is then woven or tufted into beautiful designs by skilled artisans — creating a mat that's as durable as it is beautiful, and as sustainable as it is stylish.
